Delivery drivers are responsible for driving vans and trucks to handle the many delivery tasks assigned to them. They work for many companies and warehouses that indulge in delivering goods between one place and another or to customers. Essentially, delivery drivers chart out best possible routes to their destinations and follow schedules to handle their deliveries. They are also required to assist with loading and unloading items on and from delivery trucks and inspect goods to make sure that the right quantity is being loaded.

Requirements

To work as a delivery driver, one must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Many companies require deliveries to be made to destinations outside a specific state or county for which they hire drivers who are knowledgeable of interstate regulations and can drive long routes.
