Entry Level Nanny Cover Letter Sample – No Experience

Busy parents often depend on the services of nannies to look after their children while they are away at work. For working mothers especially, it is difficult to meet both the physical and emotional demands of their children. Nannies are hired following a lot of scrutiny as parents prefer to hire experienced people who have solid references.

To work as a successful nanny, one needs to be friendly, patient and good with children. Depending on how old your wards are, your work will range from easy to very demanding. A nanny has her work cut out for her and possessing some experience goes a long way in helping employers decide that they want to hire you. However, many nannies are hired at the entry level as well – for first time nannies, it is important to portray yourself in a manner that forces a prospective employer to provide you with a chance to prove your care giving skills. Writing a cover letter such as the one below just may do the trick!

Mr. Christopher Clarke

Nashville, TN 69012

Dear Mr. Clarke:

I am writing to offer my services as a Nanny with your family, as advertised on care.com.

As the enclosed resume indicates, I am well versed in grooming, diapering, feeding, dressing babies and toddlers. Per your requirements, I am able to drive children to school, accompany them at medical appointments and ensure homework gets done timely.

Particularly, I am very effective in:

• Ensuring the safety of children
• Preparing nutritious meals
• Organizing leisure activities
• Implementing curriculum and developing schedules
• Keeping an eye on emotional and developmental problems
• Maintaining records of children’s progress

Additionally, I am trained in CPR and First Aid which I believe is a plus point since handling children requires one to be prepared from all sides.

I am enclosing my resume for your review and anticipate a meeting with you so that I can build up on my strong points in person. With the understanding of your busy timetable, I will contact you after 5 working days for status if I do not hear from you prior to that time. Please call me at (333) 333-3333 if you need any more information from me that will aid the decision making process.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Helen Mirren
